Behind the Scenes of “Untitled” — Petie Parker at Old Rabbit Step into the intimate labor of making in this behind-the-scenes footage of Petie Parker’s solo show, "Untitled", at Old Rabbit Gallery. Here, art becomes a ritual of truth-telling, confronting the long history of erasure and whitewashing in the United States, the ways slavery and Black labor have been softened, sanitized, and distorted for comfort. This footage does not show the gallery works themselves, but the tender, unseen preparation that surrounds them. To witness this process is to witness reclamation. To witness this work is to choose remembrance over forgetting. Here, creation becomes a pathway back to truth , a meditation on labor, memory, and the ongoing contributions of Black Americans to culture and society.
